If you like US-Philippine coins,
you've come to the right place...
You're among friends. This website is owned and
operated by two absolute fanatics for these coins. We collect
them ourselves and offer you, the largest selection of certified,
uncirculated, US-Philippine coins anywhere in the world.
If you're trying to put together a collection of Mercury Dimes or Standing Liberty Quarters, you can go to eBay and Teletrade -- and in a few weeks -- put together a complete collection in choice uncirculated and maybe even gem uncirculated condition. Any holes left in your collection can be quickly filled by phone calls to a handful of leading dealers.
But when you're trying to put together a collection of US-Philippine centavos from the same era, you have an entirely different situation.
You can go to eBay and Teletrade and bid with unlimited funds, and still, at the end of a few weeks, you'll be lucky to have a few coins in choice unc. At the end of a year, you'll be lucky to have your collection half-completed in choice uncirculated -- to say nothing of gem.
Moreover, you'd be missing all the hard dates. I've been following eBay listings for the US-Philippine coins for years, and I'm delighted to see the number of listings grow from maybe 40 a day to more than 200 a day. But in all those 7 years, I've only seen one 1918-S Large S centavo offered in unc condition.
And if you phoned the leading American dealers to fill the holes, you'd get a blank stare. They don't have these coins. I'm not telling you any secrets when I say that the dealers in the Philippines, our "wwwPhilippineCoinsCom" excluded, don't have them either.
Heck, many leading dealers here in Manila tell me they've never seen a 1918-S Large S (or 1915-S) centavo in uncirculated condition. And that's not too surprising, given how very rare these coins are.
But the bottom line is that you can collect US-Philippine centavos for years and never build a complete collection in choice or gem unc. I think the same is true for all the denominations ... the 5 centavos, 10 centavos, 20 centavos, 50 centavos, and pesos.
We hope to change all that. We are offering what is far and away the broadest selection of certified US-Philippine coins available anywhere. We concentrate on uncs and proofs which are often particularly beautiful.
That hard date that you've been looking for ... odds are we have it listed for sale. And if we don't have it listed, there's a good chance we have it in our un-posted inventory. If it's not in inventory, there's a good chance we can get it for you, if you can wait 3 to 6 months.
